ALA Hawai'i Food Show!
That's State Representative and LG candidate (D), Sylvia Luke visiting us!
It's been a few years, but we're so grateful to be among nearly 70 local businesses and other notable folks at the 25th annual ALA Hawai‘i Food Show! It's an exclusive military event showcasing more than 1,000 different products, including our very own Uncle's Ice Cream sandwiches!!
We got out there to bring smiles and Aloha spirit (plus yes, a whole lotta deliciousness!!) to excited crowds who'd waited many years for the gathering to return. The purpose of the event is to bring local tastes and flavors into military commissaries, and we're thrilled to have gotten such a warm welcome from everyone there!!
There's a (brief) video part with Uncle Paul in it on KHON (Part 2 video at about the 3:40 mark)

The ALA Hawaii show is the annual opportunity for worldwide Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) and combined Military Exchange buyers to review Hawaii products.
Buyers are looking for products that reflect the unique tastes and culture of the Hawaiian Islands to satisfy the huge demand military shoppers have for products made in Hawaii.
The event provides buyers with the opportunity to taste-test locally produced products and interact one-on-one with business owners before selecting new products for commissary shelves.
The show is hosted by the American Logistics Association, known as ALA, a nonprofit trade association of manufacturers, manufacturer’s representatives, brokers, distributors, publishers and service providers.
